The Pleasant Peninsula: Art & Activism Fair will be returning in conjunction with the Return to the River event on August 24 & 25 to celebrate our state’s biodiversity, our Grand River ecosystem, and the collective power of art and activism.
This year’s event will feature over 40 different artists and nature based organizations in West Michigan, including your very own Grand Rapids Audubon Club!
All of the vendors and tabling organizations will be located on the 6th St. Bridge in downtown Grand Rapids from 1-8pm on both Saturday and Sunday. There will also be events taking place in Sixth Street Park where an educational speaker series will be taking place and poets, artists, musicians, and environmental educators share what they admire most about Michigan’s incredible ecosystems.
You’ll learn all about Michigan’s majestic dunes, stunning wildflowers, towering trees, breathtaking great lakes, and all the incredible creatures that call this place home. Stop by the GRAC booth in the center of the bridge - you won’t want to miss this!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: To volunteer to table at this event, please email club president Spencer High at spencer@querkuscreative.com
