We Believe that
West Michigan is a
Place Worth Preserving
For many of us, birds were how we first engaged with nature.
Through these experiences in nature, we have learned the importance of advocating for its preservation. Without intact high-quality habitat, not only do our bird species suffer, but every other species that relies on wild spaces to survive suffers as well. By preserving these places on our landscape, we aren’t only advocating for birds, but we are also ensuring that every single species will always have a space to thrive within West Michigan.
This not only provides our local biodiversity with a place to belong in this world, but also ensures that people will always have spaces to engage with nature and have an opportunity to enter into their own relationship with the natural world around us - wether their passion lies within observing birds or not.
Our relationship with nature has built this community we all love so much and we should be obligated to help protect and steward what remaining natural spaces remain in West Michigan as a token of our appreciation.
These are some of the other organizations that share our vision of protecting our relationship with local biodiversity in West Michigan.
Explore these organizations and consider getting involved with them by volunteering to help them protect our natural spaces.
